donald_choi
Has anyone ever used the 45mm f/2.8P on a bellows? I have the PB-4 and just purchased the aforementioned lens (haven't received it yet) and am wondering what it's performance would be like on the bellows. What sort of reproduction ratio range would I expect (in both the normal position and reversed)? What would be the quality of the image? Would it be good enough to to make slide copies? I'm just wondering if anyone out there ever tried this. If not, I guess I will know soon enough.
dan_fromm1
You've already bought the lens. Its too late to ask for advice. Why don't you try the thing after it arrives and then report back?
neil_parker
It SHOULD be a good choice, the old 45mm GN was often used on a bellows, it is a fairly symmetrical lens, i.e. the lens elements are similar forward or backwards, so the lens is good for mounting backwards on a bellows. The new 45 P is a new design, but not drastically different than the older lens, give it a try!
