pierre_bize
How do you, happy 10D users, set the parameters of the 3 "custom" sets. Is there a way to get some kind of velvia look (saturation and contrast to the max) or kodakrome style (playing with the color balance, etc...)? johnlund
Are in-camera parameters all that useful? Why tie yourself to a film-chemistry way of thinking? Why not wait until post-processing? You could configure "darkroom" parameter sets, use a pre-packaged interpretation (this is not an endorsement), or make custom choices that suit the image. markedwardsmith
I have used the contrast adjustment, but that was it. I find what comes out of the camera as a RAW file is fantastic. For the Velvia look I use fredMiranda's actions in Photoshop. I would rather have an untouched version of a image first, then be able to adjust in Photoshop. In photoshop I can get both a Velvia look or a Tri-X look in B&W. Versatility. I don't have to limit myself with changes make be the camera. Second, even though the camera offers three different set ups of the three settings I would prefer just to have one, and stick with that. Life seems to able to give you greatness with out the velvia look. I have been using this camera for a month now, I find that the three setting are not that important because what comes out of the camera is great. I am incorporating this camera in with the rest of my equipment for use for my clients. This is one Great Cam.
martin_hodgkiss
I always rake up the contrast in the parameters as I find if I shoot without it I just end up having to turn up the contrast with photoshop by 10% anyway. This camera definately shoots flatter images than my D1 by default. I prefer images with a bite, hence why ive always used VELVIA & REALA in my RZ
