10D/D60 Interchangability

Yikes! I didn't know that this wasn't a help board. I had already gone to Canon's web site and of course with the D60 no longer made they didn't have any of the specifications listed anymore. So I thought someone wouldn't mind sharing their knowledge. If there is still a generous soule out there would you mind sharing information on the two types of batteries that seem to fit the 10D? And, do they fit the D60? I hope this question is not upsetting, I would really like to know the information but it is very time consuming to shop around websites that don't index what you are needing to know.

<p>Mike, a good place to start for recent products is the <a href="http://www.canoneos.com/">EOS Products page</a>. Both the 10D and D60 are listed. You might need to click around for a minute to find what you want, but they publish lots of specifications here, including common system accessories. For older products you can visit the <a href="http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/">Canon Camera Museum</a>.</p>

<p>Camera reviews often contain this information, too, like those found at <a href="http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos10d/">DPReview.com</a>. Sometimes even the meager product description found on a mail-order retailer will tell you what you need. Try <a href="http://www.adorama.com">Adorama</a> or <a href="http://www.bhphoto.com">B&H</a>.

</p>

<p>There's nothing wrong with asking for help, but I have to think that you didn't even "<a href="http://www.google.com">Google</a>" to find an answer on this one before giving up. Your <i>punishment</i> should be to answer three other threads in this forum with useful links. (The same goes for the people who respond to compain, but don't offer any help at all.) ;-)</p>

John,

Thanks for the many leads. I did not notice the fine print on the EOS Products page (Old eyes are going) There is in fact specs on the two older digital cameras. I looked in some sort of camera museum before I posted the question here and it appeared to have mechanical cameras only, no EOS. Maybe I hit the wrong button or something. I ran Google for camera reviews and it produced nothing. Thanks for the lead to DPReview, it is firmly bookmarked. Adorama and B&H are always my first source of infromation, in my current case they are not telling me what the differences are on what appears to be two batteries for the digital line. Yes, I could spend an hour or three looking through all of the data bases or catalogs or websites but I though a question to the wide collection of photographers would be acceptable. As far as helping others with answers; while I am an advanced photographer ( http://cobra.ordata.com/~lmforbes ) I find that my photographic knowledge is behind most of those on this site and the few opinions I do have are often incorrect. In view of all of this I think I will revert to lurking and ask my questions on another site. Thanks for the help and leads, it was very much appreciated.
