chris_patti1
I'm considering this lens for use on both 4x5 and 8x10. My search of the archives shows a few references to its use on 8x10, and a suggestion that its true coverage may be greater than the 336mm advertised value. I'd like to get some feedback from those who have actually used it on an 8x10, however. What did you find the actual usable coverage to be when stopped down? Was there enough for you? I know it will work fine for 4x5, so my question is really specific to 8x10. Thanks!
william_marderness1
I compared this lens to a 240mm G Claron and a Fujinon 250 f6.7. The Fujinon 240A and the 240 G Claron had exactly the same coverage. When I put the Fujinon 250 f6.7 on the camera without re-focusing, it also had the same coverage (of course it would have more if I re-focuses for the longer lens). My conclusion is that all three lenses project at 80 degrees.
john_burnley1
I briefly tested this lens on my 8x10. I cannot speak to image circle but if you desire hefty tilts for a pronounced near-far relationship, I do not think this lens has sufficient coverage for anything but very modest tilts. If someone else has a different experience, I would like to hear it.
