Matt Laur
Note: Consider keeping uploads no larger than 1600 pixels on the long side when it matters, and sticking with 1000 pixels when the image feels no pain at that resolution. On data size/compression, try to keep things under 1mb, shooting for 600kb when you can stop there. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). New to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: https://www.photo.net/forums/topic/398109-guidelines-for-nikon-forum-wednesday-image-threads. For now, we're sticking with 1, 2, or 3 images per week as you see fit. Another quick visit, this Nikon Wednesday, to the USMC museum and its architecturally impressive atrium. From the outside, the shape nags at you until you realize it's an homage to the Iwo Jima Memorial and the famous photograph that inspired it. It feels like the TARDIS - which is to say, it seems bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Share some photos! This one was taken with a Z6 and a 14-24/2.8.

ShunCheung
Went to the arboretum at the University of California, Santa Cruz. That arboretum specializes in southern hemisphere plants and flowers. The Allen's hummingbird is native to western North America and is a tiny, tiny bird. They weight 2 to 4 grams, 0.1 oz. The Crimson Grevillea is native to south east Australia, Victoria region, while the Leucadendron "Cloudbank Ginny" (bottom image) is a plant from South Africa.

Matthew Currie
I stopped by the mall and outskirts today. Things don't seem to be going too well. Plans for a steak at the Bonanza fell through.... Not much chance of a table to eat off of either, it seems. But there's still a place to relieve yourself. D7100, 16-85 as usual...
