ShunCheung
Starting from firmware version 3.0 in November 2022, the Z9 has a new 60fps mode. It is JPEG only, similar to the 30fps JPEG mode; however, it always engages a DX crop that cannot be turned off. The end result is that you'll end up with 19MP DX cropped JPEG images at 60fps. The 120 fps mode, which has been available from the beginning, e.g. from firmware 1.0, uses the entire sensor frame but generates 11MP JPEG images. I didn't read about the details and was initially surprised that my 60fps images were all cropped. I checked the menu trying to find a way to turn off the DX crop and there isn't such an option. The Z9 is mirrorless so that it has an EVF image that covers the entire viewfinder and therefore there is no optical viewfinder cropping.
