Dismouting/cleaning focus screen on C220

Dear all, I recently got a C220 which has a fixed screen but dirty

screen. When I looked at it, there are 5 screws visible on top of the

silver shiny frame holding the screen. These are visible after removing the finder. The frame looks quite similar to the one you have to change on the C330f if you want to change the screen. My question is, whether I can unsrew this screws and clean the screen (just loose dust) or whether this will disadjust the screen position?

I definitely prefer a dirty but well adjusted screen over a clean misaligned one. Thanks in advance.

I recently removed the screen on my c33 and man it was a mess getting it back together(there must have been 15 shims). I suggest that you clean it in place or have a pro do it.

Remove the lens ,and clean it that way.Hope you have some

long fingers :-)

But be carefull.

Dear Gene, dear Earling, thanks for your replies. So unless I have to

send it for repair for some other reason I think I have to live with this.
