Stacking Bronica SQAi/SQB extension tube and teleconvertor

Does anyone have experience stacking an extension tube and a

teleconverter on the Bronica SQAi/SQB? I faintly recall reading that

teleconverters shouldn't be stacked, but am unsure whether this

applies to the tubes as well. The purpose is of course to get closer

than with a teleconvertor alone:

I have worked with close up diopters, but then I don't get the

picture quality I'm after. Of course a macro lens would do the trick,

but that would be 4x as expensive as an S36.
Thanks,

Peter,

Stacking TCs with a tube is common practice with bird/wildlife photographers, and can give superb results depending on the quality of lenses and TCs concerned, combined with good technique. I think most people would agree that stacking two TCs is not a good idea as the rear TC is transmitting an image from an already degraded source {the front TC }. I have seen some reasonable images from stacked TCs, although they are few and far between. There is also the question of light loss, which might have a bearing on its practicalities.

Just my views

I'm aware of the light loss of both TC's and tubes. The reason I asked is that the Bronica TC's and tubes contain mechanical linkages to fire the leaf shutter in the lens. So even if a TC - tube combo can be mounted, the shutter may not fire properly or at the wrong speed. Another problem could be flash sync being off.
Thanks anyway,
