Matt Laur
Note: In the interests of balancing performance and quality, the topic of image file size and dimensions as normally posted to this recurring thread is under discussion elsewhere in the Nikon forum (the topic is obvious when you look) - please check in there and comment if you have thoughts to share! That's the best place to talk about that particular topic. For now, consider keeping uploads no larger than 1600 pixels on the long side when it matters, and sticking with 1000 pixels when the image feels no pain at that resolution. On data size/compression, try to keep things under 1mb, shooting for 600kb when you can stop there. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: https://www.photo.net/forums/topic/398109-guidelines-for-nikon-forum-wednesday-image-threads. For now, we're sticking with 1, 2, or 3 images per week as you see fit. Another throwback for me this week - it's just NOT been a very busy photography year so far! So follow me back to 2010 when the ol' D200 was earning its keep, and this American Brahman bull was sizing me up. Share some images, this Nikon Wednesday!

ShunCheung
I didn't pay attention to the details when I took the pictures. There were two similar sports at this location: hang gliding (the blue one) and paragliding (orange).

tonybeach_1961
I was in Maui for a few days last week: The above photo was shot with a Laowa 15mm shift lens (not 24mm that shows in the EXIF because I forgot to change that setting on my D800).

ilkka_nissila
Nice to see such a variety of images. I took these pics at the European Figure Skating Championships conveniently taking place a short distance from my home. Juulia Turkkila and Matthias Versluis finished in third place. Matthew Currie
Just returned from a trip to Egypt and Jordan, and haven't done a lot of processing, but a few... The temple of Philae was first an Egyptian one, then later Roman, and became a church, and also, it seems, a place for graffiti going back a long way. We see plenty of dramatic pictures of the Pyramids, but it's not always so clear how close they are to the surrounding city. And I know it's Ramses II, not Ozymandias, but how about some vast and trunkless legs and shattered visage.... All done with D7100 and 16-80.
