Film Camera Week for January 13

Back in the Fall I noted the Minolta X300 with its Super Albinar 28-80mm was long ignored. Although quite prominent in the cablinet ..I'm always reaching deeper.. 🙂
The body came in a bag  of discarded camera gear from a dear friend...she said her boyfriend had been carrying it aound in the boot for the last few years ..so this Minolata body as well as an OM10 body and a Tokina 80-200 Nikon Mount lens. I've always belived in the kindness of others.  So I shot off this roll before it got cold and forgot about it.
In the beginning of December I cleaned out some drawers and decided the Contina II with its nice little Tessar and uncoupled RF had slept too long and took it out.  So I devleoped both of these rolls last week.  These are straight scans..no tweaks etc..  
While others tend towards medium teles... I like the slightly wides 35-42 etc ..

First series is the Minolta X-300 with the Albinar

This is just to the left of where I am standing for the previous picture.. this is apparently a traffic light control system.. note the antenna arrays ... the graffitti was  done with purpose .. mostly murals ..recognizable motifs

In regards to my recent post ...  zj Contina photos were not done Decemebr, but in the Summer... obviously ...too much foilage for December . The camera in December was.. the Contessa...

The weather hasn't been cooperating lately so I rummaged around my film archives and found this photo from about 20 yrs ago when I was shooting high school sports.  This young lady was an excellent hurdler and I wanted to get a good shot to give to her parents.  I pre-focused on the hurdle and then followed her in the viewfinder until she got to it.  Unfortunately, the background is cluttered but I didn't have much choice.
