chuck_foreman1
Back in the Fall I noted the Minolta X300 with its Super Albinar 28-80mm was long ignored. Although quite prominent in the cablinet ..I'm always reaching deeper.. 🙂 The body came in a bag of discarded camera gear from a dear friend...she said her boyfriend had been carrying it aound in the boot for the last few years ..so this Minolata body as well as an OM10 body and a Tokina 80-200 Nikon Mount lens. I've always belived in the kindness of others. So I shot off this roll before it got cold and forgot about it. In the beginning of December I cleaned out some drawers and decided the Contina II with its nice little Tessar and uncoupled RF had slept too long and took it out. So I devleoped both of these rolls last week. These are straight scans..no tweaks etc.. While others tend towards medium teles... I like the slightly wides 35-42 etc .. First series is the Minolta X-300 with the Albinar Side Entrance to the Tonhalle This is a part of a Museum Complex called "The Forum" Another Museum space...not related to the Forum but nearby This is a Mariner.. an older scuöpture... need to do more research .. rather bady weatherworn + + + + + + + The next series is from the Contina II ... A landmark on the Rhein Promenade.. The Pegeluhr A former favorite motif... as I rode this route to work in my bike This is just to the left of where I am standing for the previous picture.. this is apparently a traffic light control system.. note the antenna arrays ... the graffitti was done with purpose .. mostly murals ..recognizable motifs another favorite view; The Art Academy ... from the bridge.. gary green
The weather hasn't been cooperating lately so I rummaged around my film archives and found this photo from about 20 yrs ago when I was shooting high school sports. This young lady was an excellent hurdler and I wanted to get a good shot to give to her parents. I pre-focused on the hurdle and then followed her in the viewfinder until she got to it. Unfortunately, the background is cluttered but I didn't have much choice. Pentax LX, Tamron SP 60-300, Tri-X.
