pemongillo
Anyone besides me seen this? I leave test prints taped up around my office for a long time. They tend to get yellow around the edges on the back and sometimes on the unexposed portions of the emulsion side. Do I have a bad batch of paper or has anyone else seen this. Iflford Gold Fiber Silk prints up longer with no yellowing.
paddler4
I haven't, but I use Platine only a little. It's odd, because that paper is acid-free cotton rag and OBA-free. Maybe something migrating from the tape? Are you using an archival tape?
paddler4
PS: Archival tape is readily available from photographic and art supply houses, but I'm not sure there is anything appropriate for hanging on a wall. For mounting photos on mat, I use linen tape, which may not be strong enough to hold photos on a wall. For hinging mat and backing board, I use a plastic archival tape I bought from Blicks, but the adhesive is extremely strong; you have to heat it with a hair dryer to remove it. it might take paint off the walls.
