How to remove dark slide from Fuji GX680

I bravely returned to my GX680 and foolishly mounted a film holder without the dark slide. Now I cannot remove the film holder. Help! I have a dark slide in another film holder but cannot remove it either, even though there is no film in it

There must be some little button or lever on the film-back that 'tells' it when it's attached to the camera. Find that, depress it or push it to one side and the darkslide will be released. It's virtually the same mechanism on every camera that has a detachable back. 

And how come you have two backs and only one slide? Somebody must have overridden the interlock at one time.

Thanks. Your thought was successful. I hadn’t touched the gear for a long while, and I suspect the dark slide was mixed up with some stuff I sold. I had been using instant film backs which have a different dark slide.
