ian_whitehead1
Those of you out there that are represented in one or more galleries my question is how is going? How was 2002 for sales? how is the first part of 03 going for sales? What sizes seem to move quicker and at what price? And at what presentation? framed, framed and matted, matted only or print only, or even Museum mounted with lamination? Any info will help Thank you. guytal
Ian,
I doubt you'll get much information from pros about their income on a public forum.
As a non-professional, I have exhibits at local businesses from time to time. Last year I only had one at a downtown cafe'. 18 prints displayed, matted and framed, only 2 sold.

Guy
Scenic Wild

bobbyjoe
I live in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. I have my photos in gift type shops on consignment. 60% for me and 40% for shop. I have tried 5x7 in presentation mats. 5x7 $20. This year I am trying an 8x12 for $30 mounted on 1/8" Foam Board. Both sizes are in clear poly resealable bags. The trouble with many galleries down here is they don't care for photographs. Some of my friends are in new gallery which has been open for a year. Some have only sold about 3 to 5 in that year. Their sizes were 8x12, 11x14 photos framed & matted. $125 to $175 on a 60-40% The tourist season is good only from May thru August.
