mike_halliwell Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 The thing that still seems odd to me is that it's overexposure on a subject that you normally never have enough light for..... and the pop-ups are notorious for being very weak and in the wrong place. I've only ever photographed humming birds once in SanDiego, with a 300mm f4 AFS. I didn't even bother with the pop-up, pretty sure the light 'beam' would have spread to nothing after about 20ft.
