Already a week in to the new year! And, right back to work. In this case, a couple of very quick product shots for some web/blog use by the artist. Used the D810 and a macro, and bounced a simple speedlight off of a paper napkin. Do what you can with what's in your camera bag! What's everyone else been up to? Share some photos, howzabout.

Just a little under a year ago I was in Australia, staying at the exotic Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island. I just got an email. It burned down, along with about half the island.

Even last year things were hot and dry. We went out one night for a walk, and met this thirsty wallaby, trying to get a few drops from a standpipe.

A little further down the island we met these cute critters. I hate to imagine what has happened to them.

 

All with D7100, 16-80 DX and 55-300DX,

Went on a drive to a nearby bird refuge. Didn't see many birds, but lots of duck hunters. D750+24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f4.
