Colin O
Interesting indeed, and good to see new emulsions being released, but...I only shoot colour!

Vincent Peri
Why would anyone shoot with ortho film? I've never used any, so I don't know what the attraction is.
ben_hutcherson
Why would anyone shoot with ortho film? I've never used any, so I don't know what the attraction is. I think this can be answered two ways. One is that ortho films tend to be slow and fine grained, but whether or not you get finer grain than something like Pan F or Delta 100(TMAX 100 for Kodak shooters) is probably up for debate. The second thing is that they do render subjects very differently due to their different spectral sensitivity vs. a panachromatic film. Portraits, for example, take on a very different look, as do many outdoor scenes. For practical purposes, though, a cyan filter will make a panachromatic film behave more or less like an ortho film, and is probably a better, more general purpose solution if you want that "look."
tomspielman
Also, it can be handled under a red safe light. Not that that has a particular benefit to me, but it might to some.
