Supposedly released/revealed at Photokina in Sept 2002, but I can't find any retailers of this lens. Was even mentioned in last month's Petersen's Photo as a PR piece, but no price or any other worthwhile info. I guess obvious curiousity pertains to cost and performance vis-a-vis Sigma's 180 and (why not) vs. Canons 180mm L lens. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What I can't figure out is why the Tamron website doesn't even mention this lens, and a call to B&H yielded that they hadn't heard about it. rick_gutierrez Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 Mike Moats, a photographer that is part of the Fuji Pro Talents team uses this lens for macro nature photography with the Fuji S5. and his work is tack sharp. I've seen it. He is a very nice guy and I am sure he would answer any questions you might have about this lens. Check out MikeMoatsBlog.com. He also uses a Sigma 180.
