tjohnso7
I just bought an HX80 and currently have been using my HX20 to video wildlife. I will be using the HX80 just for filming and my question is I am always trying to focus on animals through branches or grass and trying to focus on what is "behind" the branches and grass, not the foreground. I could never get my HX20 to focus on animals behind, so what would settings should I use for the HX80 to focus through branches in front of me to the animal? Any help would be appreciated. Again, it will be video settings for AF.
Rod Sorensen
I don't know about the HX80, but it appears to be a point and shoot type camera and therefore is not likely to have manual settings for focus. Anything that is AF only is likely to struggle with getting a clear focus on something behind an object that would grab the autofocus.
