allen_holleman
Recently Scott Hoerner posted a similar message, got several responses and has been in contact with a few folks, including me. We thought it would be worthwhile to update and see if can gather a group of like-minded amateurs (hey, or pros...)for travelling, local and further..., ideas, support and discussion. Interests include: nature, wildlife-birds and other critters, water, landscape, flowers and foliage and even people. Locations from Mason Farm at UNC to wildlife and bird refuge areas, coast, mountains... Let us hear from you. Folks from outside the Triangle are also more than welcome. Right now we're talking informal group rather than organized club but who knows... Allen Hollemanallenh9@mindspring.com

dan_woodlief1
I might be interested. I live in Durham, not far from Chapel Hill. My favorite photo types are travel, nature (more landscapes, waterfall, etc. than wildlife - don't have anything longer than 200 yet), and people. The problem is I have a one-year old, so I don't know how often I can get away from the house. I definitely would be interested in what you are proposing though. I could probably make some of the closeby outings and one longer trip per year.

ederkes
I live in Fayetteville, NC and would definitely be interested in activities with other nature photographers in the area. I've been doing mostly bird photography the last couple of years, but am also interested in close-up and scenic photography. Thanks. Ed
bill_stice
Hi Allen. I have emailed Scott Hoerner in the past about an interest in doing some photography locally. I am an advanced amateur specializing in macro, nature and travel photography in both 35mm and 6X7 medium format. I have been in photography for about 25 years. I live in Cary. I would definitely be interested in getting together to shoot somewhere in the area. Thanks!
spratte
If it's not too late to jump on the wagon, drop me an email. I'm a like minded intermediate amateur that'd be interested in shooting with this growing crowd.
