There is this foot bridge across the North Saskatchewan River at the SW corner of Edmonton. The luck part is getting the right cloud conditions, I also have taken pictures in the winter and with an IR converted Nikon D80 (much more dramatic B&W pix). This one is late August. Most recent shots of this area

 

I usually process in colour and B&W. But 4/5 times I like the B&W better. I went straight to B&W processing in the LR basic module because of the clouds. I maxed out the shadow slider to get the detail in the shadows and tweaked the others from there. Curves - selected strong contrast. Adjusted B&W mix,orange/yellow down, aqua/blue down. Mild vignette (IMO). Split Toning for warn effect
