johngoodman
Are there any gimbals that let you mount a zoomh6 and mke 600? It seems that all gimbals only allow a camera by itself.
Ed_Ingold
The Zoom H6 comes with an adapter to fit a flash shoe. I don't recommend that approach because it adds a lot of weight to the top of the camera and would interfere with looking through the eyepiece. Another option is a Zoom extension cable for the clip-on microphone, which is light weight, even considering the cable. You could put the H6 somewhere else, including a shirt pocket. That said, you probably shoot from too far away to get a clean sound pickup. The camera's internal microphone would work nearly as well. It's better to use the H6 by hand for an interview, or put it, or the extension, on a microphone stand closer to the subject. The extension is long enough (10') to put it on a boom, close but out of view. The MKH-600 attaches to the H6 with a microphone cable (XLR). It comes with a stand clip, and you can get (e.g.,B&H) mic (5/8-16) to flash shoe adapters. Better to use a Shure "doughnut" stand adapter to reduce handling noise transmitted to the microphone. Better yet, put it on a stand or boom. Directional microphones are extremely sensitive to vibration. Edited June 24, 2018 by Ed_Ingold
