Outdoors Lighting and Shadows Landscape 35mm Film Photography

How to use 30” to 42” Umbrella to bounce light back on Subject or Building so I do not have Shadows on Left side of Picture 80-200mm zoom lens f=1:4.5 Manual Camera. The Golden Hour is not always possible.

Yes I have two Light Meters.

to bounce light back on Subject or Building

If it's a subject, as in a person whose portrait you want to make, put your larger umbrella or, better, a flat reflector, close enough to lighten the shadows without interfering with the photo. If it's a building, forget it, you won't be able to reflect enough light on to it to make a difference. Consider multiple exposures and blending or HDR in post.
