Uhooru
Here we are again.... exciting week, Halloween, All-Hallow Eves, Samhain, Dia de los Muertos celebrated in the western hemisphere at least, of all, in some ways the most interesting holidays of the year as in modern form they embody as at inception the remnants of the political mergence of pagan ritual and eastern mysticism in the form of catholicism, which was at the time an attempt of the church to attract pagan believers into the fold and adopting the fetishes of both. Anyways in the USA, its basically a day to dress up and a good excuse to party with little other meaning, unlike the Dia de los Muertos, which is a beautiful celebration of family, present and past and communicating with ancestors on this day where the "walls of the inner and outer worlds is very thin". I'll start this weeks fave of the week with a photo from our firm's Halloween party. Lets see your favorite pic of this week!
