luis_marco_de_sebastian
i have been looking for a bay two lenscap (RII) "mirror metal" one for a while and now i am confused... Do you know of any size differences? i have read that RII lenscap for the 3.5 E does not fit the 3.5F or 3.5E2 cause the distance between both lenses is different... thanks
patric_dahl_n
Yes, the distance between the lenses on the 3,5F and 3,5E3 cameras is 45mm, because these cameras have a different shutter than the 3,5E and 3,5E2. The distance between the lenses on these cameras is 42mm. The lenscap for my 3,5F is 89,5mm long, so the one you need is probably 3mm shorter. john_perry1
Or you could go this route http://acratech.net/prod04.htm
luis_marco_de_sebastian
Can you comment on the acrotech bay 2 cap? their site just shows a littel picture with the camera showing no detail at all. Any other one with experience with both caps (acrotech and the original rollei)?
thomas_t
Yes, the distance between the taking and viewing lens on the F models is a bit longer. So, Bay II caps that fit the F series are correspondingly longer by just a bit. Those that fit the remaining BayII cameras are shorter. Quite difficult to shop for since some sellers have no idea which Bay II cap they have. Good luck.
patric_dahl_n
luis marco de sebastian, I don't think there are so many details to see on the acrotech lens caps. They are just metal lids that fits the bayonets on the camera.
