r_scott_steube
Hello, I'm still quite new to MF/RZ67 system, but I really need advice on which (or what circumstances do) lenses require external support brackets. For instance the 250mm APO or 360mm..? I'm mainly shooting outdoors, so wind etc. is a factor. I'm personally very gentle on gear, but mother nature can be rough. fotografz
I believe the 360 comes with it's own support. The 250 does not, but I've never had the pleasure of using it, so I can't comment. I have used the 210 APO which is fine on a Tri-pod. I suppose if you really needed additional support there are 3rd party solutions...I think Bogen makes such a device. psychophoto
I use the non-APO 250mm regularly without support and have never felt that the lens really needed it. The APO weighs in at 3 lbs, while the non-APO is 2 lbs 8 oz, so the APO is heavier, though probably not by enough to mean it needs its own support. scott_walton2
I too have the 250mm and sometimes use it hand held outdoors with no problems. If the shoot warrants a tripod, by all means use one...
