david_chang_sang
Hi, I recently got myself an Elan 7 and after many years of using non-ttl (let alone e-ttl) flash with my trustworthy Vivitar 283 I'm considering purchasing a 420EX. What I would like to know is if anyone has used the 420EX along with the Lumiquest Pocket Bouncer. I've used the Pocket Bouncer with great success with the 283 but I'm curious how the 420EX handles with it. Any and all responses appreciated. Cheers, Dave
skipd
I have the LumiQuest ProMax System that I use all the time with my 420EX (Canon G2 camera), and it works great. The combination isn't as good as studio lighting, of course, but it's one fantastic improvement over anything else that is as portable.
geoff_doane
It's not exactly your situation, but I've used the Pocket Bouncer with an Elan II and 380EX. You do lose a lot of light, so higher speed film (ISO 400) is almost mandatory. But the camera does a good job of the exposure, if you're close enough.
