timb196
One of, if not the primary, reason I bought the Nex5n was as a digital back for my Minolta MC/MD lenses. So here are some test shots with the Minolta 800mm RF
http://www.pbase.com/tbroadley/minolta_rf800
Enjoy
Tim

starvy
The first image has an almost 3D feel to it. Wonderful.
j_sevigny
Good stuff. Do you find yourself working really slow that way? This is something arty I shot with a 50s, Nikkor 35mm prime and an NEX5
timb196
J:
My "slownest" was actually in focusing the damn thing. It is not easy to get a real accurate focus and orginally my peaking color was red which with the Bottlebrush was a disaster. The other thing was the lens is highly sensitive to any movement and the focus is so critical that jiggling the tripod caused a lack of focus. I think the lens might need the focusing ring tightening up a little so I'll have to look into that! But I was pleased in the sense that that the lens resolution is good enough not to be overwhelmed by the sensor. On the moon shots, the peaking was actually on the ring of the moon, I could not break out the details of the moon surface (craters and the like)
I rather suspect that using the magnification will address these problems but that means touching the camera.

Cheers
Tim
