philip_sweeney
I had a post about looking for a 8 x 10 wisner. since the Wehman was mentioned I checked it out at the website. Who owns one and what are your opinions of the camera?
wayne_crider4
There are currently a Gandolfi and Philips 8x10 listed in the photonet classifieds. You might think about either.
tim_atherton2
That Variant is very tempting... shame the Phillips is a complete package :-(
cxc
I have a Wehman coming in the mail as we speak. I chose it based on price, weight, a good reputation for rigidity, and bomb-proofness. And its funky appearance appeals to me. Check back on this forum in a couple weeks and I'll post my impressions, because I too noticed a dearth of web info. CXC P.S. Bruce told me that he just finished up a production run, so the cameras are currently readily available, and should remain so till the end of the year; no backlog, like some other small brands. dhananjay_n
The Wehman is a great rig. Very rugged and very rigid. In my opinion, you would be hard pressed to find a more practical 8x10 field camera. Take a look at the review at http://largeformatphotography.info/cameras/wehman.html and the additional comments at the end. Cheers, DJ
