Has anyone had any experience with this combo? I realize I would need to MF but is there a image quality issue when the extender is added. I also have a Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 will the AF still work with the extender. Thanks

You will get AF with the TC on the 70-200. It should be pretty responsive too, but that will depend upon how old your lens is. No idea about it on the 200-500, but I think if you need one for that lens on APS-C (?) you may need to accept that you just need to get closer :)

Thanks Richard, the 70-200 is only a few months old. Tamron 200-500 gives me gives good results on the long end now, I was just wondering if the extender would be worthwhile to add even more reach, Thanks again.
