hi there my name is gidi i'm new here :)

i have a maxxum/dynax 7 with sigma 70-200, tamro 90 macro and sigma 15-30

i want to replace the sigma 15-30 i can't use a filter with it only a rear one

and that's undoable in the filed in rainy or moisty days.

i shoot almost all the time with a tripod and on f/8.

here is a list of lenses i thinking of choosing from some of the i didn't find

any MTF test results, i ask of you to tell me which lens is the sharpest of

all since fast lens or fast AF doest apply for my needs in photography.

thry are all 77mm filter.

sigma 21-35 f/3.5-4.2

If you are using a Maxxum 7 (not digital), eliminate these as they are unsuitable for 35mm film:

Sigma 10-20.

Tamron 11-18.

Minolta 11-18.

I would not recommend the Tokina 19-35mm: it is not that sharp.

Tamron 19-35, Phoenix 19-35, Vivitar 19-35: same as Tokina 19-35.

Have a look at: www.dyxum.com

They have tons of lens reviews...

I have the impression that you don't quite know which focal length you need. 17 mm and 21 mm is a big difference, much more important to the picture than the last bit of sharpness. Maybe you should decide on the focal length range first.

Having said that, the 17-35/3.5 G is certainly the best of its class, but also a lot more expensive and rarer than the 17-35/2.8-4. The Minolta and Tamron version are basically the same lens, no difference in the optical design.

The Tamron Di II, Sigma DC, Tokina DX and Minolta DT lenses do not work on the 7. They have a smaller image circle for reduced frame DSLRs. They do not cover the full frame format of the 7. So you can cross out these.
