  1. Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the products you referenced are the compatible no Epson cartridges which are available in the UK. I was looking to get members views on the photo quality obtainable from compatibles as opposed to Epson originals. Malcolm.
  2. I am a user from the U.K. and been happily photo printing with the above printer, but have now discovered that Epson. with its 'customer service' hat on,have chosen to discontinue the 'OWL' cartridges that the machine uses. This will mean recourse to 3rd party ink,so I'm interested to know members opinions of the cheaper alternatives.
  3. Thanks for all the responses. The vast majority of my scans are 35mm with a Dimage 5400 scanner, but, based on the replies, I'll have to give Pyro a go and see if I get better results.
  4. Always impressed by the sharp images posted by Rick which seem to run counter to the popular internet wisdom that flat bed scanners do not do well with 35mm.
  5. If you're brave enough the repair manual is here : Product Details | Minolta XK Service Manual | Minolta | Service Manuals | Learn Camera Repair

  13. The photorio forum b-w-film-paper-chemistry has a regular contributor 'Photo Engineer' who is a retired Kodak engineer. I would imagine if anyone knows about this film it would be him. B&W: Film, Paper, Chemistry Malcolm.
  14. I have a fast broadband connection (200Mbps),but like all the posters before me,Photo Net is SLOW SLOW SLOW. It's a bit like stand development where you start the process and go off and do something else while waiting for it to finish !
  15. Many thanks for your responses. I think it's time for the craft knife and strips of card,or possibly find a way to fit the negatives into one of the many old slide mounts I have around the place.
  16. Any suggestions on methods of scanning Minox negatives ? I have a Minolta 5400 scanner for 35mm,and also have an Epson flatbed.
  17. Thank you all for your responses. I posted the question in case my Minolta 5400 goes from ailing to terminal and I have to seek out a replacement. Unfortunately it seems that when the 'last known' repair facility for these scanners - Runtime in Bremen - shut up shop, nobody was interested in providing the service. Based on these responses I'm leaning towards the 10T.
  18. Looking for views on the merits or otherwise of the above two scanners.
  19. Still listed in the UK and on the Adox site : ADOX | Silvermax developer Adox Silvermax Dev. 100ml Adox Silvermax Developer 250ml - Silverprint

  22. Problem seemed to be universal, including this help forum.
