m._howard_edwards
I have just received this camera that seems to work flawlessly, except that the internal lithium battery is dead. The repair guy wants 45 USD to replace it, and that is close to the value of the unit. Can I do it myself? Do I need to?
Michael R Freeman
Haven't done it myself, but it doesn't look too hard. http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00BpFd http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00Juu6
m._howard_edwards
Michael - many thanks. I searched but did not turn up those links. It took all of three minutes and the replacement battery was 2 for 6.30 USD. My expert told me he had to remove the top cover and that is why it cost 45 USD (plus 7 USD for the battery).
