robert_paul1
Sony announced that they are cutting back on their investment in the semiconductor business. This at first glance would seem like bad news for the photo side of the business. However, Sony's Exec Deputy President Yutaka Nakagawa, said "in the future, the company's semiconductor operations would focus mainly on imaging devices, which are used in products such as digital cameras, game components and many consumer electronic goods." Sony expects a large jump in revenue for their semiconductor business. So this sounds like good news to me.
