I was talking to a friend who works at a busy military exchange, in the photo dept. Apparently during the holiday season, a customer bought a Sony A100 and returned it. It was taken out of the box, but it was returned unused and with the warranty card. Since the exchange had a lot of returned goods, the department manager wanted to clear out the returned goods quickly. The manager decided to sell off the returns at 50% off. Since the body sells for $800, it was marked down to $400!!! My friend bought it. I told my friend the next time they get another one, to let me know. He asked "with or without the kit lens?" I'm still in a state of bliss having found a camera that elevates me from an average photographer up to the 51st percentile! Great story. Thanks for sharing it.
