jon_sak
I have a chance to get a nikon Fe with a panckae lens. I was wondering how big/small it is when compared to a xd-11 with a 45mm rokkor? Also what about the size comparison when thier winders are attached?
ivan_dzo
I haven't got an FE but an FM (I think is almost same size) is almost identical size to the xd11. No idea about winders. The 45mm f2 rocker is very small (but not very good!). The 45mm f2.8 is legendary but I've never managed to find and buy one. The MD 50mm 1.7 is brilliantly sharp, costs a few dollars (just bought one for 5gbp) and is a much better lens and only a little larger.
Brian
If size is all-important and you use mainly the standard lens, forget an SLR and get a compact rangefinder like the Minolta Hi-matic.
