nick_morris
What is the best tubing and the best bulbs for use with a packard shutter, and where is the best place to find them? I tried an Advanced Auto Parts Store. I'm planning on visiting the local hardware and home improvement stores, but maybe you have a better suggestion. Thank you. www.graemehird.com
Best or Cheapest? I bought some fuel line from my local automotive spare parts dealer. $1 per metre. I got the bulb from the local hospital (throwing away a blood pressure meter because the tube and bladder were old). Free Cheers, Graeme
lacey_smith4
bulbs, from drug store -> baby ear/nasal syringes. Also, photo stores sell the blow-off squeeze bulbs for light dust removal from equipment (as do office supply stores, for keybaords, etc.) Thanks for the web link to a real packard supplier. c_p_goerz
Don't use a bulb at all, just stick the tube in your mouth, blow to open the blades, clench your teeth to keep them open. Suck to close them, this frees your hands to be used for holding the darkslide as a shade/filters, holding a beverage etc. This also doubles as a gay porn script too. ;-) Oh, use graphite as a lubricant as it doesn't gum up in the cold.
