ketchemr
[This is a cross post from "Digital Cameras". - RRK] My wife has a Minolta F100 point and shoot that has started losing its settings whenever the batteries are replaced (which is quite often with this camera). A call to Minolta confirmed that the problem is the internal battery, the replacement of which would cost me $120 and must be sent to them. Has anyone taken this camera apart? Could you provide some guidance? Or has anyone seen instructions for replacing the internal battery? Thanks, Randy
mark_k3
I do not know this but my F100 needs readjustment for date and time ever since I bought it. The camera itself is worthless, not even justify the 120 fees for the replacement of internal battery, which I doubt if there is any.
christian_fries
Randy. I have the same poblem with my Minolta F 100. It is abolutely annoying. It appeared one and a half year after purchase. I assume there is some kind of internal rechargeable battery which dies and will not recharge. I have an explosion drawing of the camera (very technical) where you can identify every part, even the smallest screw. However I did not find a hint to a lithium battery or some rechargeable backup battery. I can send you that PDF, if you like. Just send me mail to email@christian-fries.de I think this is a scandal. Minolta should replace the camera for free. This was the last Minolta I bought and I will post my experience with Minolta to my WebLog www.fr135.de someday.

Christian

---
Find the best books with www.amascore.de
guibs
Hello. Today I experience exactly the same problems as You. Since I have found no explanation in other forums, I would highly appreciate to know how you did solve this problem. Thanks ! Safe than this, the camera still produces great images even after 5 years of intensive use, mainly outdoor, and i still do not regret having bought it.
