mbroumbe
Does Minolta plan to manufacture and sell in the US a digital SLR that will use interchangeable lenses?
emaxxman
No one outside of Minolta knows. As a diehard Maxxum 7 user and fan, it's killing me that Minolta hasn't even hinted at giving us a Maxxum 7 based DSLR. Lately, it's been so frustrating that I'm almost considering selling my equipment going with Canon.
michael_hohner
I'm sure they do, but they won't tell anybody before it's (almost) ready. So everyhing you hear about this topic now is only rumors.
Brian
This question came up a while ago and one of the replies concerned Minolta's current merger with Konica. This is mainly planned to increase their penetration in the office copier market, and it could mean that they are taking a break from major camera R&D while they sort out their core business. If the merged business is a success there may be a resurgence of new Minolta cameras, including a DSLR.
