Options for tethering my 6d.

<p>Hey, im currently looking for a way to tether my EOS 6D when shooting on location. In my modest studio, I have a dedicated editing PC all set up and its great. I was considering a few options.<br>

Anyone with experience that can help me weight the pros/cons of a microsoft surface/chromebook/galaxy note/laptop. I would also need to use the device for displaying a digital portfolio from time to time.</p>

<p>Right now im leaning towards the samsung galaxy route, and using it as basically just a monitor. Id like to keep it under 500 if possible. maybe there are some options I am missing as well?</p>

<p>When using MacBook Air you can create your own network and connect 6D wirelessly. Plus you have a good screen and fast processing. I see second hand Airs at around 500 usd on auction site.</p>
