Classic Manual Camera Weekend, Aug. 26

Recommended Posts

Finished a roll of expired but cold stored Plus-X a while back, but it takes longer to scan half frame negatives so I've been putting this one off. The Fujica Half has a selenium meter and can automatically set aperture or work manually. I choose manual as the meter readings seemed a bit low.

00e6x4-565056884.jpg.9b2e63883033473d62d79de13fa6fea3.jpg

One more and then it's everyone else's turn. Three or so shots from your classic, hybrid classic, or modern camera in the classic tradition (like a Nikon FM10 or Yashica FX3 Super 2000 or a Ricoh KRII Super, etc.)
Be sure to share that extra photo with the 365 day thread.

00e6x7-565056984.jpg.5adf19140fb8f4c22f56fd219467f48a.jpg

Also the office of a church building in the heart of the Village with the Jupiter-9 85/2.0 Pre-Set. This stucco church has no architectural leanings whatsoever, yet I often find images around it. Unfortunately, I understand the number of faithful have been declining and have now reached a level where it has been sold and is now being "redeveloped". I suppose the good news is that, being in the commercial heart of the village, it's site is worth a great deal.

00e72E-565069084.jpg.02e9b5e242e72168409ba5b37f5dbb5b.jpg

Last, another look at St. Stephens, from the rear with the Helios-44 58/2.0.
Overall, the Zenit performs well. However, I really don't like the Fujicolor. Also allowing for the fact these were all shot on a tripod I am not impressed with the Jupiter-11 or the Helios-44 58/2.0

00e72F-565069284.jpg.d12323963e606a4c0f8036c2420e2b9e.jpg

Nice start to the weekend, everyone. Tony-where are you having your Fujicolor processed? That's my main film for color but I find that to get the best quality that processing is an important factor. FWIW, my favorite Fuji film was the discontinued Reala. I do like Kodak's Portra 160 but it's expensive and I have to order it rather than visit the local Wally World.
Looking forward to more images.

At $15 a pop I have to process my own and hope it gets better. My local guy is okay but one time I am sure he mixed up my E6 and C41. I went nuts trying to figure what was going on. There was one roll that he said he never had and then suddenly it showed but the results on both rolls were strange. I just decided that I might as well do my own and get a little savvy over time. I posted it on PN for input and got all kinds of help and creative thoughts before I realized that he screwed up. Ican mix up my E6 and C41without paying for it.
