Mike Gammill
It's getting to be that time again, at least in some time zones. I have a theme to my images (although having a theme is optional): all three of my images were taken using a 24mm lens. Specifically, the Sigma close-focusing 24mm f2.8 which I've found to be a good performer. Film was some 1978 Panatomic-X and the camera a Minolta SRT 102. As always, three images with classic gear (no "fine" for over limit) and open invitation to submit that fourth image to the 365 day thread.

Mike Gammill
Unless noted, I used a deep yellow filter with these shots. For me that's about the limit with slow films. A #25 or 29 red would send me running for my tripod.

Mike Gammill
I'll admit, one of my reasons for filters is to bring out clouds so for my last image, just clouds and sky.
I look forward to seeing everyone's images this weekend.

Leslie Reid
You were so right, Rick - I spent the last week of evenings wrapping my mind around the Plustek and Vuescan--there's a lot to learn, but it sure is fun rediscovering what's in those old negatives. Something that took me by surprise is the extent to which I'm still retaking some of those early photos, still trying to get 'em right. Here are two tries, both Tri-X and my Olympus Pen-ft.

rick_drawbridge
Nice results, Leslie. One can never win with backlit grass; the contrast is so extreme that it never turns out the way you want! don_culligan
I found a foto express in Latvia. Ithink there are some negatives they did not print or I could scan better Second lens I used was easier to focus. Every summer there are those who sill scalage the battlefields and still find artifacts and built extensive collections. First is from the back yard of a cafe and the owner gave me a Smena camera to boot.

don_culligan
Lets just say then lens is from a film camera. But again evidence that there was migration from Amerca to Eastern Europe. Note the similarity in the technology of the water tower. This probably predates before they fully understood the technology of the wheel.
