Strange lighter areas on film

I've had this issue on a few frames of the several rolls I've shot on this camera- the top or the bottom of the frame is significantly lighter than the rest of the image. The camera is a Yashica-Mat [the original, not the 124g]
Here's a link to see link
Any ideas on what this could be? I'm guessing a shutter issue but I'm not experienced with leaf shutters

Early Yashicamats like many TLR's suffer from poor light baffling in the body, so that a very bright area of the scene will cause flare similar to what you are seeing. I added light baffling and flocking to mine which improved its performance noticeably. As here: http://www.photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00WAh2

I can't see how a leaf shutter fault could cause this and it doesn't look like a light leak or a development problem. Some more examples might help.

Hello everyone. Having lived with Yashica Mats since the mid 60's, what you are seeing is the over lap of the frames due to the advance gearing starting to "skip". In my experience, you are not far away from a total jam of the transport mechanism unless you get a CLA done pronto...sorry, that's what happens. You might prolong the agony by first cocking the 10 sec timer before advancing the film. I have put forth this timer cocking prior to film advance for years, it works for me with 5-8 years between cla's for my stable of EM's & 124's. Bill
