jordan2240
Can anyone id this turtle? It's in South-Central Pennsylvania (Harrisburg area), and the turtles I normally see in this location are Eastern Painted, Red-eared slider, and snapper. This doesn't look like any of those to me. Closest I can come is 'Common Mud Turtle,' but it doesn't look quite like those pics either.

Thanks,
Bill

kerry_grim
Pennsylvania Reptile & Amphibian Survey has an excellent collection of photographs used for identification. You can also get an indication of how common/uncommon the species is in the county your photographed it: http://www.paherps.com/herps/turtles
