Mike Gammill
Once again, it's Friday Oct. 16 in some time zones so here we go with our weekend thread. Last weekend, I think, saw a record number of posts for our weekly thread. For my images I'm posting three images from a roll of Eastman 5222 that I shot earlier in the week. Processed in HC110 dilution B for 5' and scanned on Epson V600.

donald_miller5
John
Your picture still reminds me of the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die" where the deputy says "It looks like one of them there car boats"
User_2019667
Don, That's funny.
I was out fishing in the lake and noticed that car in the water. I talked with the property owner, that's him going through
the car owner's purse looking for ID. Turns out the lady driving the car was a little under the weather. I'd say a LOT under the weather.
Luckily no damage to the guy's boat.
Tony, I really like your third photo today.
donald_miller5
Okay, I never really ventured in BW so these are kind of a starting point for me. The first is a camera I never used before. a Kodak motormatic. Film I never used before Ilford Delta pro 400 and first try to process BW myself. I kind of like dark with contrast. There was someone on PN who always took water towers for test shots. In this case there is an ugly water tower hidden in the fog.

donald_miller5
The next 2 are with Soviet "Start" camera which I used before with Ilford Delta Pro 100 film which I never used or processed before. Use Ilfotec DD-X developer. These are from Ireland from A tour bus so not from a steady platform so there is some blur. Wouter Willemse
Donald, my venture in developing B&W myself is also of quite recent date, and well, I think seeing the negatives coming of the reel the first time is just such a massive satisfaction. And while I have plenty learning left to do, it still is. The first step just is the important one, and it looks it went well :-) Your first shot has sure a great atmospheric feel to it!

Mike Gammill
Great start to this weekend's thread, everyone. Really enjoying the quality and variety of images here. Looking forward to seeing more as the weekend continues. I had been waiting for some C41 color images from Dwaynes this week but they didn't come in to yesterday. I ended up starting a new thread for my 300mm shots, but I got two more rolls back so I'll have plenty of color to choose from next weekend.
Donald- the Soviet Start camera sounds interesting. Are they hard to find?
Bill- like the contrast on the barn image. I need to use my red filters more. In my college days I would often combine a 25A with a polarizer to darken the blue sky. I've been thinking about getting a 29A eventually,
donald_miller5
Wouter Thank you for the encouraging remarks and critique. It means a lot when someone with experience pays a compliment to a novice. Don
donald_miller5
Mike, there a few on ebay. I thoughtI knew most of the names of Russian cameras but never heard of this one until I saw a post by JDM and like a kid in a candy shop had to get one. From what I know they were to be the top of the line in Russian cameras. In the translation of start (ctapt) it can have a few variations. In this case it means The Beginning ( of something new or simple).

Mike Gammill
Nice looking camera. Does the lens have an externally coupled auto diaphragm like some Exactas?
rick_drawbridge
My photographic endeavours are still thwarted by changeable weather; every time I pick up a camera the clouds roll in. So, here are a couple more from a recent film through an Exakta Varex IIa with the 58mm CZJ Biotar f/2 lens, Ilford FP4 developed in PMK Pyro.
