ilkka_nissila
The sea froze for the first time three weeks ago when we had <-20C conditions for some time but then we got a warm spell and it melted. Now there is the process starting over again, though it would take more than today's -1C to get it all frozen again. The many stages in the process can create quite a lot of photogenic subject matter although the most otherworldly shots require the coldest temperatures and not the most comfortable for the photographer. ;-)

sjmurray
Well, here in Minnesota we just got our first real snow storm last night. Got about 10 inches. We often get storms like this in February and March too. Had to do some snow blowing and shoveling this morning! Nothing like the East Coast though, but normal for us.

warren_wilson
Too blustery to stand outside behind a camera, so here are some tiny florets, backlit by the grey light coming through the window. D800 with a 105 f/2.8 macro with one 20mm extension tube. About 20 images focus-stacked in Zerene.

marklcooper
Here in SE Ohio it was close to 60F and sunny yesterday. We have ducks outside in a pen. We're feeding them a 50/50 mixture of layer crumble and cracked corn. For some reason the honey bees have taken a liking to the duck feed. I normally don't post oversize pictures, but this one was processed for another online forum and exceeds the size recommendations for this forum. D300 with 70 - 200 f/2.8 VR1, SB-900, outdoors, full sun, handheld.
