rich_weiss
I just ordered Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (Windows Version) and would like some recommendations on CD/Book tutorials. I have no Computer Darkroom experience, but desired to start with the most advanced program available. Adobe recommended Peachtree.com, but there are 3 7.0 Books to choose from: - Adobe® Photoshop® 7.0 Studio Techniques, Ben Willmore - Adobe® Photoshop® 7 Wow! The Book, author/designer Jack Davis - Adobe® Photoshop 7.0 Classroom in a Book I have no interest in Web Design, just photo manipulation and correction, and I desire something reasonable to comprehend. I do understand this is a very comprehensive program, and will take some time to understand. thankyou
ray .
Classroom in a Book is a good approach, well designed and organized and easy to understand, if you can keep motivated to get through it. Otherwise just play around with the program on your own, you can learn alot that way. Then when you come to something you want to do and can't, you can use any number of reference books to look it up. Some are better than others though, so choose carefully. rene_c.
Rich- Take a look at "Photoshop 7 for Photographers" by Martin Evening. It explains in layman's terms all of the tips and tricks that photographers (not graphic designers and the like) might need to know. Good luck. -Rene
skip_williams
The Classroom in a book is good. The Photoshop for Photographers is good. I also like: Photoshop Restoration and Retouching by Katrin Eismann, Steve Simmons - Very good for restorative work Photoshop 7 Artistry: Mastering the Digital Image by Barry Haynes, Wendy Crumpler, Sean Duggan - Very thorough and advanced book. Has real-world problems and detailed solutions. Skip

sal_ortega
Photoshop Color Correction by Michael Kieran. Peachpit Press. I'm about a third of the way through and thus far am happy having purchased it. My previous PS read was the K. Eismann book which is also very good. Kieran's book more directly addresses my concerns.
