geoff_radnor
I have bought a "Canon converter B" that will allow Canon FD lenses to be used on my Leica iiif. Any comments about what FD lenses should be considered? Looking to get some wide angle ones as the Leica stuff is beyond my budget. Thanks
jim_bielecki1
Not quite a photo of the month submission, but since you asked.....

Be aware that FD lenses will not couple to the rangefinder of your Leica so you’ll have to guess focus.

Wide-angle to ultra wide-angle lenses will be easy to scale focus (huge death of field). Probably look at 28mm and wider.
Matthew Currie
I've somehow avoided Canons for many a year, but when I saw a fairly nice looking A1 with a 50 mm. lens at the thrift store for 10 bucks, I could not resist. It's clean and works, though it has a touch of the characteristic mirror squeak, and someone scratched a number on the base. But I threw some film in it, and it works nicely. Accustomed to Nikons and Minoltas, I find the Canon a bit quirky and will probably give it away, but I must say it's a very nice machine, and one of the prettiest cameras around.
