D7100 Firmware update - C 1.03

<p>I just notice today , there is a new firmware update for D7100, version C-1.03. Dated Sept 9, 2015. I could not find any post here about it, so here it is.</p>

<p>From Nikon web site these are the changes from version 1.02 to 1.03:</p>

<ul>

<li>Reduced noise (horizontal lines) in movies shot with 1280×720; 60p or 1280×720; 50p selected for Frame size/frame rate.</li>

<li>Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the display to darken when images were viewed by pressing the (playback) button.</li>

<li>Fixed an issue with the menus for some languages where continued scrolling would cause the camera to freeze.</li>

<li>Fixed issues with the virtual horizon displayed using the Viewfinder virtual horizon option.</li>

<li>Fixed an issue with the camera freezing when the Clean image sensor option was used.</li>

</ul>

<p>I'd never notice any of these problems but updated anyway.</p>

<p>Thanks for this info - sounds a useful update - and Nikon do sometimes add unlisted tweaks to these updates so worth doing them.</p>

<p>My wife never had problems with her D7100 but I did the update anyway, since hers was a couple of versions behind. The process seems to be well thought out and easy to do.</p>
