Bill Bowes
Hello everyone. I recently purchased this Smena Soviet era auxillary rangefiner for a neat $5 and will use it with my ErconaII when I return to Wa. state. Great shape for it's age, but it does need to be re-calibrated asap.
Can anyone lead me to a web site that shows how to do it?. . . better yet, can someone tell me where the hole for that screw is located ? Thanks and Aloha Bill

john_shriver
I'll bet if you remove the two screws holding that side plate, you'll see that there's some screw mechanism allowing you to rotate the dial relative to the shaft (and guts). You want to set the dial at infinity when the images coincide for something at least 1/4 mile away. If the moon or stars are out, that's handily more than a 1/4 mile...
