luis_rives
I am considering purchase of a Fuji G617 with the SW 105/8 lens and the number of actuations in the counter shows as 121. Would this be considered excessive? Asking price is 800. Thanks.
Aoresteen
IIRC you multiply the number by 10 to get the actual actuation. That means 1,210 actuations. That's low. As is the price if it 800 USD. Seems like a very good price for a G617 & lens if it is in good working condition. They tend to sell for $1200 to $2,000.
stephen t
As I understand it, the counter is easily manipulated. You may want to do a little research on this forum as well as APUG.
aplumpton
If you are worried about shutter performance, a simple shutter tester will give a better idea than simple numbers (A low number and inactivity over a long period can be as bad as too many activations before maintenance). A good repair centre should have that equipment if you don't. I also think Fuji is very conservative about the 5000 activations before overhaul, which seems too low.
